This artwork is inspired by a version of myself who once struggled with appearance anxiety — a younger, more fragile and insecure version of me who ultimately led me to create this piece.

I used to care too much about how others saw me, constantly measuring my looks and style based on other people’s opinions. A single comment could make me cry, feel angry, or deeply upset.

Over time, I learned that my appearance is mine to define. The way we look is deeply connected to the strength of our inner world. Only when you truly learn to love yourself on a deep level do you stop being affected by others’ judgments. You begin to live for yourself, and to be beautiful for yourself.

I hope this artwork helps every girl who has ever felt insecure recognize her own beauty — and, through that realization, grow into a stronger, more confident version of herself.
